These guys from California have really brushed up on their 60s pop/rock. At times, their music sounds like something off of Sgt. Pepper’s, and at other points on the record, The Velvet Underground & Nico. Needless to say, I think this duo is going to have a big year.

The Strokes - “One Way Trigger”
The Strokes are back with this single, presumably off of their upcoming fifth album. Needless to say, there are hints of that classic Strokes sound embedded in this track that marks a pretty quick turnaround (for The Strokes, at least) after 2011’s Angles. The only question that remains: why did Julian Casablancas decide to break out the falsetto? Perhaps we’ll never know.
